On Saturday, May 5, Flip4Good transformed Alexandria House with "EmpowerHer," a powerful event celebrating the strength and resilience of its incredible women. Alexandria House provides safe and supportive housing for women and children experiencing homelessness and trauma.

The event was packed with uplifting activities designed to foster well-being and empowerment. Unwind Mobile Massage + Spa provided restorative manicures and therapeutic massages. Executive Chef Denise Smith of Genniebee Catering delivered a brunch that was as delicious as it was philanthropic. Amelia Rose Posada of Birch and Bone elevated the ambiance with her stunning floral artistry.

EmpowerHer was a celebration and a bold statement of recognition and support for the women at Alexandria House. The day's activities supported mental health, reduced isolation, and reinforced a vital network of support, making a tangible difference in their lives.

One of the most impactful moments was a powerful workshop and affirmation circle. The women identified the traumas they were still holding on to, wrote them down, and then set them on fire. This symbolic act of releasing their burdens was deeply moving, signifying a fresh start and the power of letting go.

Volunteers and residents shared memorable experiences from the event. One volunteer highlighted the meaningful connections made: "Connecting with the ladies at my table, hearing their personal stories regarding motherhood & them feeling safe with us to share and open up was everything."
